THUNDER 102, LAKERS 93:
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California

Russell Westbrook scored 36 points as Oklahoma City overcame a slow start in Derek Fisher’s return to Staples Center for a convincing victory over Los Angeles.
Fisher, a point guard for the Lakers in 13 of his 16 NBA seasons, was traded by the Lakers on deadline day to Houston, which bought out his contract. He signed with Oklahoma City last week.
Fisher was honored with a video tribute before the game, and the fans stood and responded with a loud, long standing ovation. He got another rousing ovation when he entered the game with 2:04 remaining in the first quarter.
He finished with seven points.
Kevin Durant had 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Thunder (39-12). Kendrick Perkins had 12 points and eight rebounds.
Andrew Bynum had 25 points and 13 rebounds and Kobe Bryant had 23 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers (31-20), who have lost three of four at home. Pau Gasol scored 13.
The Thunder started the third on an 11-0 run and the Lakers did not score until Ramon Sessions’ free throw at 7:58. The Thunder outscored the Lakers 34-19 in the quarter for a 78-68 lead.
The Lakers outscored the Thunder 22-8 in points in the paint in the first quarter. The Thunder also shot just 28 percent (7 of 25) and trailed 30-18.GAME NOTEBOOK:
Fisher did not criticize his former team or Lakers management, but said he would have liked to have had a heads-up that he might be traded. Fisher, 37, said he chose to wear No. 37 because his age is often brought up. “Even though at my, quote unquote, advanced age, there are 37 reasons why I can help the team be special,” he said. … Durant and Westbrook were a combined 8 for 26 in the first half, yet the Lakers led just 49-44.
