George Hill scored a season-best 22 points and Manu Ginobili added 18 points as the San Antonio Spurs notched a 95-78 victory over the visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Tony Parker added 14 points as San Antonio won its fifth straight game and improved its NBA-best record to 20-3.
Wesley Matthews scored 17 points for Portland (12-12), which had a four-game winning streak snapped.
San Antonio made 9-of-17 of its 3-point attempts, with Neal making 3-of-4 for the third straight game.
The Spurs lost all three times they faced Portland last season and had lost five straight overall in the series before Sunday’s victory.
San Antonio held Portland to 37.9 percent shooting from the field. Tim Duncan grabbed 13 rebounds for the Spurs.
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 16 points and Marcus Camby had 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Trail Blazers. Leading scorer Brandon Roy tallied just nine points on 4-for-16 shooting.
